supplied by Nick Prince – The Classic Cinema

Alan Esdaile… Looks a lot more prestiges then, then now.

Roy Penfold… Also remember going in to D&A stores to buy drinks and smuggle them into the cinema. If memory serves correctly, there was also an old iron staircase round the back that us kids were bundled down after matinee performances.

Neil William Michael McGuigan… there was a bomb scare there in the early 70s,everyone got chucked outside, then the all clear-and me and my mates got in for a free afternoon of viewing, much appreciated when you are still at school and money is tight

Nick Prince… I was in there one Saturday Morning when there was a bomb scare and all us kids were put on buses parked opposite in the old coach station.

Sandra Cunningham… My mum and dad both did the cleaning there xx
