Peter Thomson… Staying in that night!
Jim Breeds… Fantastic. Now we are all Old Greys!
Janet Rennie… Yes love seeing the old repeats in the middle of the night when I can’t sleep
Dennis Torrance… Good news looking forward to seeing the show
Alan Thynne… Fascinating origin of the phrase Old Grey Whistle Test on Google…
Dave Weeks… Who remembers it on the pier?
Alan Pepper… Sounds good ! Who would be your ideal act for the show ?
Tony Davis… This is great news. Always loved Whispering Bob a great presenter
Dave Nattress… The OGWT was an absolutely essential programme for myself and some old mates. Got the 4 DVD’s a long time ago. 2 in the first set in the Black cover, then 1 more each in the Brown and Green covers. I’ve also recorded the occasional BBC repeats on the hard drive. Very nostalgic and the original TV shows stimulated me to buy a lot of my old vinyl albums.
Clifford Rose… I’d like to see Alice Cooper on the show again.
Eric Peckham… The Old Weigh Gristle Test …
Andy Knight… OGWT last night? Am I alone in being disappointed?
Judith Monk… I wasn’t keen first time round.
Danielle Steele… Used to LOVE it!
Peter Thomson… I enjoyed it But then I may be alone in that.
Perri Ann Haste… I enjoyed it too, so you are not alone.
Jan Warren… I was disappointed too, sat through the whole 6 hours, I was expecting non-stop music, there was too much chatting and not enough music, and I mean good music, the stuff we all watched OGWT for?!!!
Janet Rennie… Would have liked to see more live music , waited fir Dennis Locorriere but he only had a couple of minutes and no songs
Roger Dando… 6 hours ! A lot of that was Kiki Dee whining . . The bands that have been on OGWT . . Lone star. Renaissance. Thin Lizzy .Skynyrd . . I could go on .
Steve Amos… Wasn’t it 3 hours? It just felt like 6.
Alan Esdaile… I enjoyed seeing the old film bits but why waste time having a vote for your favourite clip. When they could have showed a piece of each.
Jan Warren… Yeah Alan and I think they wasted a lot of time …… talking, it was more like a chat show than a music show! and they missed out on so much great music which we all remember OGWT for!!
Peter Fairless… Playing music costs money, talking about it doesn’t!
Chris Meachen…. Personally, I loved it, though I didn’t stay up past the main programme.. I just wish they would bring it back….
Alan Esdaile… It’s obvious that they should have a regular weekly spot and repeat all the old episodes.
Mike Mitchell… Huge studio but tiny bands playing acoustic stuff that could have gone on in the back bedroom… Missed opportunity
Chris Meachen… I absolutely loved Wildwood Kin, what a discovery, & hope their ‘whistle test moment’ propels them to the success they deserve…
Jan Warren… Ian Anderson …….. I’m a huge fan of Jethro Tull
Iain Cobby… Richard Thomson ……………. wow!
Rob Grain… There were 3 programmes on, one was 90 mins of 70s clips and another was the story of the OGWT. The One Night Only show had some great live performances and showcased some exciting new artists. I was more than happy with it.
Sounds good !
