Di Paolo Cafe say…. Yes its True. We’re closing. After 37 years in Business at 5 Marina, John and Christine are retiring and the Boys are going onto other things. The family would like to thank all their regular customers for the continued support over the years. We have met some fantastic people and made so many friends. It has been a pleasure to serve the community with wonderful food and hand made Ice creams.. 😊 😊 We would love to see you in our last few weeks. So please pop in! Our last day will be 28th October.

Jan Warren… Sad news

Leigh Wieland-Boys… Noooo! I go there a lot on my visits, especially for ice cream

Steve Amos… Sorry to see you go

Jacquie Hinves… Can’t believe it. I went to school with Johnny. Oh happy days.

Sue Bennett… Very sad news, this family are so lovely, so welcoming.
Wishing them lots of luck for their futures, they deserve it

Alan Esdaile… My mum’s favourite place to eat when we went to Bexhill. Always great food, reasonably priced and perfect service. Very sorry to hear they are closing.

Jake Nelson… When I worked for the Mental After Care Association in the mid ’80s we used to sometimes take our residents there. There’d be about 40 of us, and Di Paolos always made us feel very welcome. And yes, the food was lovely.

Dave Nattress… Another one bites the dust!! Great shame. Great Knickerbocker Glorys – and I think, ice-creams with little lumps of ice in them way, way back. When I was a lot younger I think this may have been called “The Criterion” – before Di Paulo’s? There was also, (I think) a Criterion in Western Road, Bexhill, but could be the remains of the mind playing tricks.

Jan Warren… Your right Dave, I remember the 2 Criterions too!

Neil Partrick… Lovely people and a great place. It will be sorely missed.

Clive Richardson… Sad to hear this is closing, its been an excellent place and friendly staff. Slim (otherwise known as Clive Richardson)

Eric Harmer… Good luck everyone. Thanks for everything you all have done for Bexhill

Reminds me of an old girlfriend – all knickers, no glory. Yes, that WAS unnecessary wasn’t it and lowered the tone of a sad moment.
