Terry Huggins… There was Dora Bryan and Marion Ryan, but I don’t think there was as Dora Ryan. Marion was the mother of twins Paul and Barry Ryan. Paul couldn’t cope with the stress and faded into the background, writing the songs that Barry sang as a solo artist, Eloise being the best known. Barry did quite well in the rest of Europe, but was a bit of a one hit wonder in the UK.

Lyn Humphrey… So many good ones already mentioned here. But Popeye, and the ‘Watch with Mother’ series was big with me. And I’ve recently come across the DVDs of Four Feather Falls & Twizzle!
Dave Nattress… Earliest I remember would be watch with Mother. – several different programmes. Always thought there was something dodgy about one of the characters – was it a Teddy bear? – trying to get a doll – was she called Looby Loo or something like into the big wicker basket and get the lid down! Remember most of the others as well. A couple of you mentioned Round the Horn etc. – I realised later on this was clever stuff. Dame Celia Molestrangler (or something like), was the name that appealed to me.
Terry Huggins… Saw Peppa Pig for the first time last year. For some reason, I assumed Peppa would be a boar, but she’s a sow.

Alan Pepper… Yes my first recollection of ITV southern was very early Sixties I used to enjoy Twizzle that was great. Sara and Hoppity now that was a bit creepy come to think of it and Torchy the battery boy Would love to get those on DVD now !

Christopher Dann… Watch with Mother. It came on everyday after my afternoon nap. The presenter used to say “Are you sitting comfortably children?” I would say “Yes” to the TV screen and then she said “Then I’ll begin”
Then it was Andy Pandy or the Woodentops or the Flower Pot Men and I also thought there was something seriously dodgy about climbing into a big wicker basket !
