Yvonne Cleland… I like the Telegoons!

Andy Qunta… especially Bill & Ben! Flobalob!

Mark Praid… Bill and Ben every Wednesday at Nursery School with a Yoyo Mint Chocolate Biscuit and a glass of milk….Before the Pubs opened

Pauline Richards… Woodentops

Eric Harmer…  Does anyone remember FOUR FEATHER FALLS ?

John Sperni… Woodentops

Gaynor Lewry… Loved them all

Wendy Belton… Woodentops and Bill and Ben but also liked Tales of the Riverbank. Does anyone remember ones called Picture Book and Torchy the Battery Boy. Must have been very early 60s. My favourites were Camberwick Green and Trumpton. I particularly liked Windy Miller who lived in the windmill …Collies Mill I think it was called.

Mike Guy… My wife & I were chatting about Twizzle yesterday!

Jane Hartley… Tales from the riverbank

Carol Ann Bolton… What about Rag, Tag and Bobtail and the one with the baby Dragon?

Joe Knight… Billy Cotton band show and Dora Ryan

Carol Ann Bolton… Waiky, Waiky. They were for adults. I loved ‘Round the Horn‘ and have the CDs of them. Julian and Sandy.

Joe Knight… The Ryan twins were late

Terry Huggins… There was Dora Bryan and Marion Ryan, but I don’t think there was as Dora Ryan. Marion was the mother of twins Paul and Barry Ryan. Paul couldn’t cope with the stress and faded into the background, writing the songs that Barry sang as a solo artist, Eloise being the best known. Barry did quite well in the rest of Europe, but was a bit of a one hit wonder in the UK.

Simon Page… ‘Pogles Wood’ and ‘Joe’

Dennis Torrance… Twiddle dum twiddle Dee lol happy memories

Martyn Baker… Champion The Wonder Horse

Mark Praid… ” I’m Dill the Dog…….I’m a Dog called Dill.

Leigh Wieland-Boys… Hoppity & The Terrible Ten

Mick O’Dowd… What about Ollie Beak?

Nick Shute… …don’t forget his sidekick Fred Barker!

Alan Esdaile… a bit later but used to like Mr Benn.

Lyn Humphrey… So many good ones already mentioned here. But Popeye, and the ‘Watch with Mother’ series was big with me. And I’ve recently come across the DVDs of Four Feather Falls & Twizzle!

Dave Nattress… Earliest I remember would be watch with Mother. – several different programmes. Always thought there was something dodgy about one of the characters – was it a Teddy bear? – trying to get a doll – was she called Looby Loo or something like into the big wicker basket and get the lid down! Remember most of the others as well. A couple of you mentioned Round the Horn etc. – I realised later on this was clever stuff. Dame Celia Molestrangler (or something like), was the name that appealed to me.

Terry Huggins… Saw Peppa Pig for the first time last year. For some reason, I assumed Peppa would be a boar, but she’s a sow.

Jacquie Hinves… Trump Tom, white horses, lost in space, magpie and that really weird programme “ the singing ringing tree”

Maggie Geary… Wooden tops of course! And they spoke queen ‘s English ha ha

Mick O’Dowd… What’s behind the blue door today children?

Alan Pepper… Yes my first recollection of ITV southern was very early Sixties I used to enjoy Twizzle that was great. Sara and Hoppity now that was a bit creepy come to think of it and Torchy the battery boy Would love to get those on DVD now !

Lyn Humphrey… Dave, you were very wise not to get into that wicker basket with Andy, all on a Saturday night.

Alan Parker… You have a listen to ‘Show them to me by Rodney Carrington or ‘It’s hard to kiss the lips at night that chew your ass out all day long’ by The notorious cherry bombs. U Tube.

Christopher Dann… Watch with Mother. It came on everyday after my afternoon nap. The presenter used to say “Are you sitting comfortably children?” I would say “Yes” to the TV screen and then she said “Then I’ll begin”
Then it was Andy Pandy or the Woodentops or the Flower Pot Men and I also thought there was something seriously dodgy about climbing into a big wicker basket !

Terry Hardwick… Twizzle, Hoperty, Torchie the battery boy. What about pussy cat Willium and wally whitem

Mick O’Dowd… Titch & The Clangers with The Soup Mines & Soup Dragon?

Andy Caine… Sarah and hoppity was so spooky, to me!

Dawn Leaney… I can still sing all the title time to Sarah and hoppity Andy. It was my favourite.. I’m so old! 🙂 xx

Judy Atkinson… Bill & Ben, Tales from the river bank, Ivor the Engine, Noggin the Nog. Also all the eastern block fairy stories (including the Singing Ringing Tree of course), but also a Belgian adventure serial “Captain Zeppos”

Eugene Hughes… Muriel Young, Leo the lion.

Steven West… Am I imagining it but sure my earliest recollection was a cartoon from late 50s called yoyo and gogo

Stuart Moir… Bill and Ben the flower pot men was a fave of mine

Faith Brooker… Flobbalob

Jane Hartley… Tales from the Riverbank.

Graham Sherrington… I assume someone has already done the Muffin The Mule joke??
