Dennis Torrance… For me feel gutted saw Procol Harum on Hastings pier 70s and at Eastbourne to. Such a brilliant singer musician and whiter shade of pale to his albums single and with Procol Harum . I particularly loved his album no fear of flying Gary sitting Carmly while rest of passengers on plane panicking. On album his cover of say it ain’t so joe brilliant. My deepest condolences to family friends and his fans to RIP Gary thank you for your music

Andy Hemsley… Actually saw him guesting with Fairport Convention at a Cropredy Festival, at the piano playing Whiter Shade – really impressive. Love those early Harum albums.

Peter Fairless… They played Hastings Pier in August 1975 – by which time, of course, they were universally know for ‘that’ song from eight years earlier. A shame, because they were so much more…

Pete Prescott… Very sad. That voice.

Judy Atkinson… Saw them twice on the pier within a few months, probably 1975. The first gig was packed, the second not so much
