Damien Morrison… Might not be a nightclub but Hastings college in St Leonards, such talent came out of that place lifelong friendships made people’s young lives changed. I went there 88/90 great fun xx

Graham Howe… Loved my years at HCAT. Met so many people who have become long time friends

Peter Houghton… Graham, I loved it there I was with the Catering department

Wendy Henry Wilson… I was there, when it was called a College of Further Education, 1966 to 1968 – OND in Business Studies with Shorthand and Typing. Remember them changing their rules so that us girls could wear trousers when attending there. Loved the curried hard boiled egg for lunch

Tim Moose Bruce… Was there 1976 to 1980. C&G mechanical engineering. Good Times

Romaine Fulton-hart… Remember these buildings so well !!

Peter Fortsch… Great beans and chips.. and music in the canteen

Mike Waghorne… 68 to72 refectory down stairs basement, arts departments, English language ect in the upper parts if my memory can still think back that far ?

Julie Findlay-jones… I was there 76 -80

Margaret Trowell… Loved my time over several years doing different courses, some of it life changing and when it was affordable

Ju-ju Davies… I went there in 83

Tony Court-holmes… i remember that

Gary Benton… 77-79

Leigh Mitchell…. I was there 1972/1973 and did a Secretarial Course, including typing, shorthand, accounts, commerce, law, English & office machinery (which can now be seen in museums!) I was also Secretary of the Students Union for about six months. Absolutely loved my time there! My best friend, also on the same course, ended up marrying our Law Lecturer!

Alan Esdaile… I remember doing discos in the basement and with Factory on one occasions.

Jane Hartley… went to a few concerts there

Dave Nattress… Wow, remember it so well, attending from about 1969 – 1974 doing various construction courses. Made many great friends including Paul Cobby, Paul Durrant and Mick Kemp of Damaris which I joined after a while and many more friends. It seems like every other guy was a musician. Remember Tich Turner and Phil Gill. Of course, many band concerts, Factory mainly but also some great band brought in for students union gigs.

Nigel Pattison… I was in the Catering 1971/73 really great times .

Dan Ranger… 81 to 85. I did my OND and HND in Engineering there, but more importantly it shaped my music endeavours with like minded people.

Neil Cartwright… I worked there, 83 to 97.

Vaughan… Fond memories of HCFE, starting at the art school annex down at the Brassey Insitute doing a foundation course before moving to the main college a year later to do graphics and photography. Made some great friendships but sadly lost touch when I moved from the area. Great time on the social committee booking bands for college events and organising the annual all nighter as well as playing DJ in the refectory at lunch time. Two claims to fame – ended up as president of the students union in my third year; and a year or so after leaving wangled a session for Factory at Roger Daltery’ home studio out in West Burwash.

Andy Qunta… a big hi and thanks to Vaughan! He looms large in the Factory story, and I have great memories of him.

Maria Simmins… Dad taught Accounts and Book keeping there from 1965. Was head of the Accounting Department. Mike Paraskos. (1931 to 1993).

Julie Findlay-jones… Went there 76 to 80, brilliant time, I remember there was two albino squirrels in those trees.
