Virginia Davis… Same here and lived too far away!!

Pete Fisher… excellent line-up – that was the year “Fill Your Head With Rock” came out, the CBS west coast sampler, which I remember listening to with Bernard Jeffrey.

John Wilde… I was there. It was freekin AWESOME.

Conan Howard… I was there , not much else to say really .other than I am the only one still alive out of all my friends that were there back then..

Felix Ross… Same here I was there awesome (overused word) but what a line up!!!!

Jan Warren… WOW!!

Mick O’Dowd… Remember Mike Raven who was a radio DJ into blues. Had an album by him with him doing such a show. Believe it was on Transatlantic label.

Pete Prescott… Wish I’d been at this one !

Mark Rodrigues… It was this festival the previous year that inspired Glastonbury.

Alan Esdaile…. This is what I call a line up!

Patrick Lewis…what a line up. Legend after legend.

John Wilde… I WAS THERE! TOTALY BRILLIANT BEST EVER FESTIVAL.

Gary Kinch… Nice to see Jefferson playing twice…..well, most of them anyway.

Chris Giles… That would have been awesome

Pauline Pitman… My friend and I were 17, and were primarily there to see The Byrds, although we were looking forward to seeing many of the acts. We travelled from Birmingham, via coach, and were due to meet the coach at midnight on Sunday for the return journey. We didn’t have a tent of our own, and slept in one of the communal tents on the Saturday night. Highlights for me were, of course the Byrds, but also Donovan, Steppenwolf, Canned Heat, John Mayall, Mothers of Invention and Colosseum. I was a massive fan of Colosseum and had seen them several times. I remember the rain, and acts being cancelled or having to stop because of the bad weather. On Sunday night, when we were finally hoping to watch the Byrds, it was announced that because there was a break in the rain, Led Zeppelin would be performing in the Byrds’ slot, as the Byrds had agreed that they could perform an accoustic set if the weather was bad later. Led Zeppelin’s set ended up being around 3 hours long and this meant that the Byrds wouldn’t be able to take the stage until very late, and we were supposed to be back at the coach by midnight. I think Jefferson Airplane took to the stage after LZ and it was past midnight when we made the decision to forgo the coach home as we hadn’t sat all through 2 days of a festival just to miss The Byrds. They eventually came well after midnight, and performed a brilliant acoustic set. They were incredible and well worth the wait – they played for over 2 hours and received a great reception from the crowd, performing several encores! As soon as we were certain they were finished we hightailed it to the coach park, on the off-chance that the coach had not yet departed, and lo and behold there it was! The coach drivers were aware that the festival was running over by a couple of hours and were waiting for all the passengers to return. We were over 2 hours late, but we certainly weren’t the last to get on the coach, and those who were already waiting, were very understanding. It was an amazing festival with an incredible line-up. We were now looking forward to our third festival of the year – the Isle of Wight, in August, to see The Doors!

Linda Bridges… I was there with school friends Pat and Sue. We had not told our parents we were going had a great time. Led Zepplin were the loudest band I had ever heard in fact the line up was amazing for the whole festival. To top it all that summer I also went to the Isle of Wight Festival had to tell my mum about that one as I went for a week,
