Alan Esdaile… Grand building and always seemed busy back in the day, with about 10 counters on the go. Sad to see the state of it now.
Matt Thomas… What are they doing with this building? Been empty for too long now
Jacquie Hinves… Remember it so well. Sending parcels and letters. Always a busy place.
Graham Sherrington… what is it now a scruffy Bar!!!!
Andy Coleman… My dad worked there in the 60s, not on the counters but upstairs
Graham Sherrington… When I came home for visits I used to get US dollars changed to Sterling NO commision. And send Naughty Seaside Cartoon “Post Cards” back to the States. And the USPS….. United States Postal Service would confiscate the postcards cos they thought them pornographic!!! What a bunch of Twonks.
Stuart Moir… Probably full of squatters.
Tony Court-holmes… is it still empty?
Jackie Willett… I loved my time working behind the counter there! We were always busy! Everyone queuing down the road on a Monday morning
Leigh Mitchell… Mum was a telephonist in that building when we first moved to Hastings, then she went to the Observer. I arranged to meet a boy outside the Post Office when I was 16 – he ‘stood me up’

Lloyd Johnson… Spanna Mo and I had savings accounts there. We put money in each week to save up for our move to Sweden in 64/65….
