Rark Modrigues… That Friday night line up is the best I’ve seen for the beer festival. Edit: Thursday I meant to say!
Tim Harris… Maroondogs still going ! Can’t be the same line up? Can’t think of the lead singer christian name but somebody Coltart. They were playing the Folkestone circuit about 30 years ago !!!!
Paul Phillips… When it was a proper beer festival with proper beer glasses and so many real ales to try and choose from. The music was a bonus and in Alexandra Park was always a fantastic 3 night event. Totally ruined now a Music event on the Oval and not a beer festival.

Mick O’Dowd… When I managed Deep Purple (Hastings) we practised in All Saints Hall across the road. Half way through we would break for some refreshments across the road in the Stag. Trouble was that we all liked their cheese & onion sarnies which were delish. Problem was that when we resumed there was a lot of arguments about “I’m not singing in the same mic as him because his breath smells of onions!” That’s rock’n’roll for ya!
Chris Wood… I Stag..ered down those steps on several occasions
Amanda Hilton… Chris, now there’s a surprise
Paul Coleman… Is that the pub with the mummified cat?
Jacqueline Patton… Paul, yes.

Mick O’Dowd… The Ram Jam Band WITH Geno Washington? First time i’ve seen this. He WAS The Ram Jam Band. This must have been an early gig.
John Gale… Geno is still playing and going strong
Alan Esdaile… He was a member of the SMART group awhile ago.
Mick O’Dowd… Saw him a few times and last time was in Bexhill. I was the only one to try to start a “Geno” chant going and it failed miserably. Still it was a good show.
John Gale… He was meant to play the Brass Monkey a few years back, bad weather (Heavy snow) meant it was cancelled and it was never rescheduled. Their ‘Hand Clapping Foot Stomping’ album, is still one of the best ever live albums in my opinion
David Edwards… Geno played Hastings every month or so it seemed a great live band.
