Terry Corder, Kevin Hoad, Wesley Magoogan and Will Thompson
Janine Anne Scott… This crazy bunch rehearsed next door to us in Godwin Road in the late 60s. Terry was our neighbour. Fun days.
Gerry Fortsch… One of the best local bands.

Aquarius or Hastings Pier 1973? One handbill and one poster, same date, two different venues, now confirmed as Hastings Pier.
Andy Qunta…. did see Wild Turkey at the Pier, but I don’t remember the date. Another great band! (Seemed to be so many then, not so much now!)
Pete Prescott….i saw them in sittingbourne around 73/74 with leo sayer and judas priest ! great band ! gary pickford hopkins was the singer, he was wonderful. He sadly died last year.he sang with ashly holt from warhorse in the rick wakeman band (i just got a warhorse cd signed by ashly for my birthday).i remember bernie marsden was in wild turkey in 73/74.glen cornick wore some pretty strange clothes.i also saw them supporting black sabbath at the albert hall in (i think ) 71.
Clive Richardson…. Wild Turkey did play the Pier and not Aquarius. Also on the August date ‘Leo Sayer band’ did not turn up.
This the other gig they did in 1973 with Leo Sayer Band & Daisy

Tony Davis… Saw them at The Dome in Brighton on tour with Black Sabbath – think it was the Master of Reality Tour. They were a great band – that’s Turkey and Sabbath
Phil Thornton… Great gig !!!
Andrew Freeman… I love seeing these posters from both the nostalgia point of view and because they remind me of my son who lives in Brighton and plays with a band called Rough Hands, playing gigs all over and in Europe. I like to think one day, maybe one day they will play Hastings Pier, who knows
Glenn Piper… It was a good gig
Pete Prescott… Good times! Great band. I saw them at Sittingbourne town hall and at Chatham central hall in 73/74. I first saw them at the Albert Hall supporting Black Sabbath in 71.

Terry Corder, Will Thomson, Tony Barraclough and Kevin Hoad on drums.
Yvonne Cleland…..Awwwwww what a great band they were! Yes, Will has his hand on Tony’s knee, and Tony is a bit nervous. 🙂 I do believe these were taken at the Yorkshire Grey. This was before Wesley Magoogan joined the band which later metamorphosed, lost Moff, Tony and Terry, added Den Wootton and Mike Tanner and became Felix.
Andy Qunta…..Excellent!
John Wilde…..Really good to see these photos. Great days for all.
Pete Fisher…..remember being present at a rehearsal in a church hall in Hastings, where Terry was the tall guy on bass and vocals,, with an amazing vocal range, and it was Loud!!
Terry Corder… Wow! That’s going back a bit. Probably 1972/3.

Yvonne Cleland… Memories…… just left school, and met Will!
Jim Hobbs… Emperor Rosko and the Radio One Club, great stuff, joke was Radio One reception in Hastings was bloody awful in those days. Reception on all ‘platforms’ is now brilliant – shame the content is shit!
Alan Esdaile… I got this album in my collection. Some great Atlantic tracks on here.
Dave Garland… I do slightly remember that Gig, on the Pier, I loved the Pier back in those days, saw so many good bands. I went backstage when Status Quo were on and tried to swap my 6″ Clogs for a pair of platform boots that the rhythm guitarist was wearing, (can’t remember his name,) but Francis Rossi said he’d break his neck wiv em on! The Kinks gig stands out, Thunderclap Newman, Factory supported lots of bands on the Pier including Suzie Contro(Mickey Most was with her there & commented on how good our P.A. was, for only 500 watts. The secret was to get the Bins up as high as possible!! Bring back the Pier!! Lol, Dave Garland (now back in Hastings!)

Kevin Sherwood… Daisy were very good that night.
Yvonne Cleland… Daisy were exceptionally good that night.
Jo Turner… Oh I loved these competitions and have great memories of jumping in the back of someone’s van frequently in later years to follow local bands doing the competition rounds. Was it Michael Mepham who had the van?
Wesley Magoogan… I remember that well, there were lots of shenanigans between us and Stallion lol.

Phil Gill….Wasn’t Will T in Daisy?
Yvonne Cleland….Yep, he was, along with Mr. Terence Corder, Tony Barraclough, and young Kevin Hoad. I was Will’s gf and did the sound. Wes Magoogan had joined them, by this time, and Marion did the lights.

Geoff Peckham….Great days indeed, didn’t you keep a diary, Andy? If you did I’d love to see it – I’m sure I’ve forgotten half of what I got up to!
Nick Prince… Electric Ray when he was the last landlord of the New Clive Vale. hahaha, I still laugh at his antics more than a quarter of a century on
Yvonne Cleland… RIP Electric Ray x
