Pete Fisher… I remember people in the year above me at school going to Bickershaw in 1972 and returning with muddy tales…

Mick Bolton… Bickershaw! I couldn’t believe that this amazing line-up was appearing about 6 miles from my home near Wigan – Captain Beefheart, Grateful Dead, Doctor John, New Riders Of The Purple Sage, Family, Kinks, Donovan and more. I’d happily sit for three days in a cold muddy field all over again to watch that lot.

Pete Prescott… My brother Chris was there. It was like the Somme! Rain and mud! I wish I had been able to go to it. One of the organisers was Jeremy Beadle !
