Mick Knight… ABC returns from its holiday with this tribute to blues musics one and only Arthur Blake. Blind Blake (1896/1934) was ragtime blues guitars foremost guitar player of the 1920’s. Featuring the hits Diddie Wa Diddie, Police Dog Blues, That Will Happen No More and He’s In The Jailhouse Now. These will be attempted by three old friends joined by more… (old and new friends). Come along to this fun evening of totally acoustic music ….arrive early for the best seats….

Included with the CD is a beautiful glossy 8 page booklet featuring photographs taken by local photographer John Hayward plus information on the origins of shanty singing, the story of Jenny Lind, the tale of the lifeboat that became known as the ‘Ghost of Dunkirk’ and a few words from the RNLI.

Mick Knight… Fulton Allen born 1904 or 7 or 9 … in Wadesboro North Carolina. He was an eclectic, popular and influential recording artist. Though he made over 120… 78rpm sides he never performed on stage preferring the street and informal gatherings. Come and join us as we recreate some of the sound of the East Coast blues of Blind Boy Fuller…..with Sister Suzie, Piers Clark, Jem Turpin, Nick Smalley and Mick Knight.
