Alan Esdaile… Anyone know where the photo was taken?

Dave Nattress… Saw Tom in Brighton last night with my daughter Katie – St Georges Church venue, near Kemp Town, genuine church, hard pews and all that, absolutely marvellous show, new band, he did the album and 3 Keane songs – Sovereign Light Cafe, Everybody’s Changing and Silenced by the Night. Great new band, but truly missed seeing the other Keane boys behind him. Awesome vocals still!! Good old Brighton parking though, the tour bus, parked outside (on double Yellows admittedly), had a parking ticket on it!!

Jackie… Absolutely loved brighton show. Spectacular acoustics in the church. I saw the tour bus had a parking ticket ..ridiculous. where was it supposed to park.

Dave Nattress… Alan, several interesting photo’s on the album, one of Eastbourne Bandstand for instance. As I believe Tom lives over towards the Kent/East Sussex border somewhere I suspect some may be shots from that area. The road one may be down on desolate Romney Marsh somewhere or down that way. Likewise the one where he’s in the river.

Alan Esdaile… Thanks Dave, I was thinking it could be around Romney Marsh.

2 from Keane to appear at Battle Festival 8th August 2015.

Battle Festival … It has been confirmed that Tim Rice-Oxley and Tom Chaplin of international hit band Keane, who have not performed together for over two years, will stage a fund-raising concert on August 8th 2015 in support of Battle Festival, of which Rice-Oxley is a patron. The event will be in the historic town of Battle and is timed to coincide with the Keane International Fan Gathering weekend which begins on August 7th.

Details of the concert are still being finalised but Rice-Oxley is hoping it will raise money for the festival in his home town of Battle. ‘Last year’s festival, the first, was a huge success and this year is going to be even better but the event is still in its infancy and a bigger budget would really help them. Our concert isn’t going to be a massive gig – Tom and I want to enjoy performing together in a rather more intimate setting where we can interact with the audience more than in the usual huge stadium.’

The programme for Battle Festival, which is in October, is still being finalised but Rice-Oxley has confirmed that he will once again run one-to-one mentoring sessions for young musicians. Songwriter Tim Rice-Oxley won The Ivor Novello Award for Songwriter of the Year in May 2005 and his songs include such modern-day classics as ‘Everybody’s Changing’, ‘This is the last time’ and ‘Somewhere Only we Know’ which was a hit not only for Keane but for Lily Allen in 2013.

Concert Tickets: Venue and ticket information for the concert will be released shortly but fans can pre-register interest in purchasing tickets by emailing info@BattleFestival.co.uk with KEANE in the subject line. A small number of Early Bird tickets will be available on a first come first served basis.

Barbara Watling-Richardson… Many many thanks for the info about this event. Was VERY lucky to get tickets to see Battle Boys Tim and Tom in the abbey grounds on 8th August. Lovely setting, lovely sunny evening and wonderful to be part of an intimate live performance, singing along to Keane hits. This proved very helpful to Tom a couple of times when power was lost! It only added to make the evening very special.
