Andre Martin….Joe – Steve Maxted still going strong well into the late 1970s. – Above is an advert from 1974. I have some later images waiting to be uploaded and indexed.

Jenny Tyler… I loved Steve Maxted.

Phil Gill…  I was there for the New Year gig. The bouncers stopped the Stallion set at 11:45 and threw everyone out. They were really shitty about it too. Presumably they wanted to go drinking…

Mick Mepham… I remember introducing Hudson/Ford and making a total twat of myself doing so ….. blusho ……

Yvonne Cleland…. You were nowt but a lad, MM 🙂

Mick Knights… Edgar Broughton.. The question has always been, should he have allowed the demons in in the first place!!

Jo Turner… I was there both nights.

Sarah Harvey… I organised all of the Ore Festivals in the 1970s. I wonder if they would be as popular today??

Jo Turner… I loved it Sarah. Thank you for the memories you helped create

Nigel Ford… Stephen Turner’s report mentions STRIFE at the Pier which I attended and then bought the album “RUSH” with “Man of the wilderness” and great title track.
Haven’t heard you play them on your HR Show yet Sarah Harvey?….though I’ve yet to catch up with one from this year when we went to the Stables Theatre.

Nigel Ford… I was there and bought the album (Teenage Depression – tracks from which I have played on HASTINGS ROCK when not doing the Heavy Rock Show) on the strength of their first appearance, which I still have. Barry cartwheeling across the stage in between singing. “Do anything” came a bit later…

Tony Ham… Paul Gray is in The Damned now. He’s also got another band, again with Captain Sensible called The Sensible Gray Cells.

Mick O’Dowd… Isn’t that the chemists now?

Alan Esdaile… Yes that’s right Mick. Used to go in the pub after The Round Table Youth Club. Probably a glass of scruppy cider between six people!

Mick O’Dowd… Now you can go in the chemist for pain relief for the hangover!

Mosaic plus Pueblo and Friends – Zodiac Centre 27th July 1974

Pete Fairless… Hand coloured?

Conan Howard… I bet that was done by Bernard Jeffries the drummer?

Sarah Harvey… Roger normally did the hand-crafted posters for the bands. They were always neat and he always put a lot of time into them as you can imagine.

Dave Nattress… Sarah, I have some old Samisen artwork, some you did I think – posters for gigs, with “Samisen” in Japanese style lettering and a rising sun logo, and some I did which we put in our car windows – must meet up some time or I’ll bring them to a SMART gig. Temporarily mislaid but I do have them for sure.

Sarah Harvey… I remember those Dave. My first job was a design draftsperson and I created all the Ore Festival posters on a drawing board with set squares and other drawing instruments.

Dave Nattress… Sarah, when I find them I’ll post them on the SMART website.

Conan Howard… I think that was done by Bernard Jeffries,Samisens second drummer .. who is now is KING BATHMAT

Mosaic and Stallion – Langton Hall Battle 27th September 1975

Phil Gill… Unusually for me, I don’t remember playing this gig, but the date says I obviously did.

Phil Thorton… likewise !

Terry Pack… I think I might have gone to this. On my Puch maxi!

Chris Barrett… I’m not paying 65 pence to see you Phil Gill. You’d better put my name on the door
