Wilko Johnson at The Black Horse Music Festival 22nd May 1998 by Andrew Clifton.

Martin Richter… fantastic! anyone know how to convert vhs to digital – *somewhere* i`ve got a copy of Divine in concert at Saturdays that needs preserving!

Yvonne Cleland… Damn I wish I’d seen this! However, I saw Doctor Feelgood in Eastbourne when Wilco was in top form.

Andy Gunton… I was there 🙂

Geoff Peckham… Excellent footage of Wilko Johnson. Great little festival. This was the year I played there with my Cajun band, the MudBugs. I remember it well!

Steve Sampson… Went on the Friday to see Wilko and Monday to see The Blackman Brothers.

Robert Wren… I had seen Dr Feelgood a number of times but that was the first time I had seen Wilko and I felt like I had a last truly seen Dr Feelgood.

OAKFEST 2016 will be held in aid of the OLIVER CURD TRUST. Last year’s festival raised a staggering £3,500 for Charity.

ENTRY on the Gate is £5 ADULTS – £1 CHILD.

[Please Note – NO DOGS will be allowed as this is a working SHEEP FARM]

This year’s lineup will be as follows (in no particular order):
PAUL & JANETTE – PHIL TRAINOR – CARL BURGESS & THE ROOSTERS – TRACE WALTON – TOTAL MAYHEM – SLAP BANG – THE BLACK SHEEP – THE BLING CROSBIES – SLAM – ROGER HUBBARD & RICHARD STUDHOLME – THE TOURLE BROTHERS

The organisers would appreciate if visitors don’t bring their own food or drink to the event, as prices are VERY reasonable and this would only take away money raised for the Charity – Thank you in advance! smile emoticon

There will be a BAR tent serving REAL ALES – a BARBECUE – RAFFLE – FACEPAINTING on the day.

Jim Breeds… Wilko! Oysterband! Let’s hope Wilko is now on the road to recovery too, following his operation.

Trish N Kevin Sherwood… A very good Friday night as i remember.

Geoff Peckham… I was there on the Sunday, playing with my Cajun band, the MudBugs. A great crowd as I remember, and a fine, well organised festival. Here’s a sideways look at some of our old publicity.

Paul Dengate… A particularly good line up. I was on the monitor desk all weekend.

Neil Cartwright… I can’t remember who I played with that weekend, but the thing I remember most is that Wilko Johnson needed a curly lead. Paul Dengate knew that I sometimes used one, so he asked me if Wilko could borrow mine. Thus, I got it from my bag and lent it to him. With great pride, then, I am able to say that the Great Man machine-gunned his way through the Black Horse 98 gig using my curly lead.
