Richard O’shay… this is a shot of Pelham Place / The Fountain being constructed in 1959 Notice how packed the beach is ? and that ‘ The Italian Way ‘ isn’t even built yet ! Fast forward 20 years and how many of us walked along here on our way to The Old town for a pub crawl ?

Pelter Ellingworth… And a East Kent single decker coming in towards Hastings from Rye on the opposite side?

Micky Erends… I think that the East Kent from Rye in the picture was the Rye 113 , it stopped at the Millers Arms in Winchelsea Road in Ore, often caught it there to go fishing down Snailham marsh..it stopped at Broad Street Icklesham where I would walk down though the hop gardens with friends

Terry Hopper… Micky, Yes my dad and myself used to do the same journey to snailham from the Miller’s Arms in the early 1960s

Harry Randall… I sung for the “Loyd Milligon sound” in 68 we used to practise at the “Fountain pub” that could be Joe or Ron Milligon on sax?
