Felix press cutting … Wesley Magoogan, Roger Carey, Den Wootton, Will Thomson and Mike Tanner.

Wesley Magoogan… Amazing looking at the past ! Hard to believe this was 40 years ago, seems like yesterday !

Martin Curcher… Is that Mike Tanner on the right?

Liane Carroll… Fab picture. My hubby looks sooooo cute!!!

Yvonne Cleland… Remember this night well! xxx

Conan Howard… Samisen knocked it out of the ball park that night

Sarah Harvey… Yes we did

Bernard Goffredo… as always. It was fun in those days

Roger Carey… Lenny and Ralph!

Roger Carey…That gig went particularly well, the review was written by Stephen Turner who was in year above me at school and became a Hastings Observer journalist of renown- it was good to have someone who had interest and enthusiasm for the Hastings music scene! Thanks for putting this up Alan! Look forward to when we can all meet up at a “Smart” gathering again….The band Felix had been formed in late 1974 I think , Den Wootton’s brother Cliff was originally on bass but suggested I should take his place so I joined in 1975.. We carried on into 76 with a lot of writing, recording, rehearsals and selected gigs but when Wesley Magoogan decided to leave to concentrate on session work the band was reshaped by Mike Tanner and Will Thomson into “Aircraft”. Den and I moved to our pop/rock band “HatTrick”.. Fun and games man!.. One of my film quotes in that essay about Felix… In “JFK” Joe Pesci plays a very jumpy character who , while being interviewed by Kevin Costner, talks about “everybody was flipping sides- fun and games , man…!” It came to me whilst thinking of us all joining or checking out each other’s bands!

Barry French… Happy memories of two great local bands

Terry Pack… I heard Felix a couple of times. Roger’s playing scared the living daylights out of me.

Terry Corder, Will Thomson, Tony Barraclough and Kevin Hoad on drums.

Yvonne Cleland…..Awwwwww what a great band they were! Yes, Will has his hand on Tony’s knee, and Tony is a bit nervous. 🙂 I do believe these were taken at the Yorkshire Grey. This was before Wesley Magoogan joined the band which later metamorphosed, lost Moff, Tony and Terry, added Den Wootton and Mike Tanner and became Felix.

Andy Qunta…..Excellent!

John Wilde…..Really good to see these photos. Great days for all.

Pete Fisher…..remember being present at a rehearsal in a church hall in Hastings, where Terry was the tall guy on bass and vocals,, with an amazing vocal range, and it was Loud!!

Terry Corder… Wow! That’s going back a bit. Probably 1972/3.

featuring Will Thomson & Mick Tanner.

Tim Bruce….The Dave Henry Roadshow. They were one of the major local mobile discos back then.

Phil Thornton… I was at this gig – most excellent !

Ernest Ballard… I joined the band round about that time but don’t remember playing the Carlisle. I played the gigs in London. The one next to Putney bridge was good and had my first McDonald’s burger lol in Lewisham I think. We had a girl keyboard player called Lynn and a violin player her boyfriend I think called Drew .Will Thompson had a friend called Fred he was a magician. Ask him how he was and you got a 30 minute answer ha ha. Motorfly wAs one track I remember as being excellent. Will Thomson was a master on his les Paul and I got to get to grips with his superb song writing. Many a coffee was drank at his home and great conversation. lynn played a Fender Rhodes. Love that sound still which added to the band . Can’t remember the bass player but he played solid and melodic lines. Great band to cut my teeth into jazz rock. Mick Tanner loved France and had a Renault Van to put his congas in. I think he lives in France now.

Martin Richter… Dave Henry Roadshow – happy days
