Harry Randall… Named after the “Watkins Circuit Four” guitar I bought my Watkins Rapier 33 from the guy on left who I’ve forgotten his name so names please!
Harry Randall… Available left handed at an extra 10% very few other options in those days hence Hendrix playing right handed Fenders
Barry French… Saw them play at the Yorkshire Grey. A really good covers band. Their lead guitarist used to play a strange shaped Yamaha guitar.
Mick O’Dowd… Vaguely remember the name and I think I saw them. Any names?
Geoff Evans… Tony Hughes Lead Guitar, Mervyn Ashdown Rhythm Guitar, Cliff Booker Bass Guitar, Keith Baron Drums. At least, those were the original members.
Mick O’Dowd… They played at Grove Road YC in 60’s.Went to school with Cliff Booker & Mervyn Ashdown
Roger King… Mick, not the same people we saw in the mid-60s surely? Can you imagine that hair at Hastings Grammar School? The only one who looks at all like anyone from that line up is the guy on the left, who could at a stretch be Tony Hughes with a beard?
Mick O’Dowd… Yes. They were on that infamous photo of us acting like looneys!
Bill Abbey… Geoff, just to get the names right: Tony Hughes, Merfyn Ashdown, Cliff Brooker, Keith Barron.
Cliff Brooker… Bill! It’s Cliff (or Rivulus as we classics scholars prefer to say) – In the event that this technology does its job it’s good to know you (and I) are both still alive. We’re actually going to see Jill and the twins – and extended families – next week. Are you still in Germany or have you returned to the UK? Whatever, take care. I’m still in touch with Merfyn and bumped into Keith years ago at a mutual friend’s 60th. He still has him drum kit! Best regards, Cliff
Peter Gladwish… Greetings all. Sorry to disappoint but the line-up in the above photo’s is from the left, Tony Hughes (Lead Guitar), Peter Gladwish (Drums), Eric Burgess (Bass Guitar) and Cliff Brooker (Rhythm Guitar).
I still have the front skin from the bass drum shown, which Cliff designed and painted himself. It also has my name at the top if you look carefully. Cliff was the original bass player and I was the original rhythm guitarist but when our drummer (John Eldridge) left, I took his place on drums, Cliff moved to rhythm and we got Eric in to replace Cliff on bass. We were originally called ‘New Circuit Four’ and later changed the name to ‘Homburg’. I have never seen these pictures before and didn’t even know they existed. I wish to thank the person/s whom posted these on here as I do not have any pictures of Tony, who sadly died far too young, nor of Cliff, whom I have lost contact with.
The photographer, Dave Trodd, was also responsible for the pictures in the Vox catalogue (c. 1971), which were also taken at the Hi-Fi club and in which I was asked to be the ‘model’ and Cliff’s company produced the catalogue.

I believe a few of the pictures are somewhere on this website, but have not been able to find them.
